This is a limited edition of 3,500 units released in 2004 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon in 1969.
 
An excellent condition pre-owned 42mm case size stainless steel mechanical hand-wound, calibre 1861, movement Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Apollo 11 35th Anniversary wristwatch (3569.31.00) featuring a 'panda' dial surrounded by a black tachymetre bezel and hesalite plexi-crystal. This particular watch comes on a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster bracelet and is complete with its original box and all relevant paperwork including its certificate of authenticity being originally supplied as new in
2004.
 
The first manned lunar landing on the 20th of July, 1969 was the greatest, most dramatic scientific achievement in human history. Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon’s surface at 02:56 GMT on the 21st of July. Nineteen minutes later he was joined by Buzz Aldrin, who was wearing his OMEGA Speedmaster and a legend was born.
